I've always been a fan of the Haiku. I'm not a Japanese speaker or reader so haven't been able to appreciate them in their original form, but the westernized version I find to be magical - or at least can be.

I'm going to start a personal project to post a Haiku every day (or at least every weekday) on HDS-related topics, and see where it goes.  Feel free to join in.  I'd welcome your feedback.

Note that the original Japanese Haiku follow the 5-7-5 syllable (strictly speaking on not syllable) pattern.  I'll stay close to that, but will vary for aesthetic reasons.
